Obamacare: n. A public health care program that is being instituted by the US Federal Government.
The idea of Public Health care is not a new idea, in fact it is a very popular plan thru out the world. To many Americans it sounds like a fantastic idea however looking at other public health care plans and governments that have instituted the plan, it has been "less than great".
Canada has been using public health care for many years but, there are many problems with the system. The MAJOR problem is that treatment can take forever. There have been numerous reports of patients dying in the waiting room while waiting to receive treatments for curable illnesses such as the flu or the common cold. Having a community Hospital that services the entire city or region will lead to issues such as over crowding, lack of sufficient supplies, lack of QUALIFIED doctors and lack of proper care.
A Public Health Care plan only encourages society's free riders to continue to be jobless and collect welfare and food stamps and soon to be free medical care, medical care that will be paid for through increased income tax and increased sales tax. The working man will now not only have to support himself and his family, but he will now be responsible for supporting the jobless mooches of our society.
Health Care is not a right, it is a privilege that is provided to the people who work and support themselves.
